Beach Camp

means the world to me!

Well, it’s not a week of lodging at The Marriott, sleeping on a pillow-top mattress. Nor is it feasting on lobster tails and shrimp kabob, or enjoying the peace and quiet of lazy days sleeping under an umbrella on the beach.

Beach camp is SO much more!!

It is a week filled with lively teenagers, who are full of energy, ready to rock and roll from sun up until curfew (some beyond). Teenagers, who want a deeper relationship with Jesus by connecting with Him through energetic worship, small group discussion, morning devotion on the beach, bedtime room devotion, and worship on the beach under the glow of the moon.

What’s in it for me?

The awesome PRIVILEGE
To have a front row seat each day as the Lord works in these kid’s lives.
To watch as their guards let down for a week.
To see their friendships with one another deepen.
To witness their confidence bloom as they try new things.
To observe their hearts lighten as they share burdens and concerns.

Most of all it’s the reward of watching lost souls find Jesus for the first time,
Seeing them affirm their faith through baptism in the ocean.

These baptisms serve as the electrifying closure to a week of God moving in a mighty way! It is a takeaway that will never be forgotten.

But the irony is, Beach Camp is for the big kids too...

Because God always moves in me, and I, too, come home closer to Him, the One who orchestrates this week to profoundly change lives and leave us memories for a life time.
