Deacon & Elder Voting

PCBC will elect  Deacons and Elders in the morning services on Sept. 17th. Listed below is information about the Deacon and Elder nominees. All PCBC members are invited and encouraged to participate in this process.


PCBC will vote on Sept. 17 on the following four deacon candidates. Two of these men are renewing their current term of service and two are new to the deacon ministry. All have been approved by the current Deacon Body and Elder Leadership Team as being qualified candidates for service, pursuant to the guidelines listed below:

Key qualifications of a deacon:

  • Meets the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:8-12
  • 21 years or older
  • PCBC member for at least two years
  • Accepts the Bible as the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God.
  • Man of one wife—cannot be divorced
  • Refrains from acts and attitudes which might cause another person to stumble
  • Abstains of alcohol and drugs
  • Tithes to the church’s general fund
  • Regular in attendance in normally scheduled services
  • Ministers to the church and shares our faith

 PCBC Elder Leadership Team, which governs the church body, is comprised of nine lay elders and the senior pastor. The lay elders are elected to three-year terms of service on a rotation basis with three elders rotating off each year. All elder candidates have been nominated and interviewed according to PCBC bylaw guidelines, which include but are not limited to meeting the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; and
1 Peter 5:1-4.

  • For the past 24 years, Dean has worked as a manager, engineer, and consultant in the supply chain industry designing distribution centers for clients.
