LIFT Gwinnett 2026 Theme - The Essentials
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
— ACTS 2:42
This year we’re returning to the essentials that shaped the very first followers of Jesus in Acts 2—God’s Word, genuine community, prayer, breaking bread, and the power of the Holy Spirit. These weren’t just ancient practices or church traditions. They were the foundation that anchored early believers, united them, and fueled a movement that changed the world.
At LIFT, students will step away from the noise of everyday life to rediscover what truly matters. Throughout the weekend, they’ll explore how these same essentials build real, unshakeable faith today. Through messages, small groups, and meaningful conversations, students will see how God’s Word speaks into their lives, how community brings strength, and how prayer connects them to a God who sees and cares.
They’ll also have the chance to form authentic friendships, share meals, and experience moments of worship that remind them they’re part of something bigger than themselves. From heartfelt worship to late-night hangouts, everything is designed to help students experience the kind of faith and friendships that last long after the retreat is over.
If your student is looking for clarity, connection, purpose, or a fresh start on what matters most—The Essentials. It’s a weekend designed to refocus, recharge, and build a faith foundation they can carry into every season of life.
FAQs
-
All PCBStudents leaders must complete and pass a background check and screening process. This is church policy. Students will be staying in Host Homes under the leadership of a PCBC family with a PCBStudent leader.
-
Yes, students can contact their parents/guardians. However, cell phones are discouraged. We want students to unplug so they can be present over the weekend. Cell phones may be allowed during free times and at night if needed, but not during sessions or small group meeting times.
-
We ask that the Host Homes and Group Leaders work together on transportation to and from Cross Pointe. No student is permitted to drive without a PCBStudents staff member’s permission. We will also have buses driven by staff to and from Cross Pointe.
-
This year all activities, food, and merch will be included in your registration. However, we will potentially make a stop by QT if students want to buy snacks.
-
If your student doesn’t know anyone attending, don’t worry! This event is specifically designed to help students build new friendships that can last well beyond the weekend. Through engaging activities and small group discussions, they'll have plenty of opportunities to connect with other students in our community and feel right at home.
-
Yes, we can make exceptions for students who can’t attend the entire event due to prior commitments. However, parents will be responsible for transportation if a student needs to come or go during the weekend.
